Is it not time that the rest of the world must be made aware of what the real situation in South Africa is relating to crime? By failing to successfully organize and host the FIFA World cup in 2010 the whole world will see what the real truth is. I am a South Africa citizen and all this "hype" is actually for a reason. I cannot think of anyone in amongst all my friends or co-workers who have not been affected by crime or who can honestly say the do not know someone who has been affected. Maybe this website will open the world's eyes which will eventually lead to our government taking some kind of action against violent crimes. P.S. I do not classify 20,000 murders annually as "small crimes"

South Africa is really not that bad compared to other regions in the continent. And I'm glad they will hold it over there too, even so, I think I'm ready to get on a plane over there right now..

hey, at least it's going to be cheaper than Germany, or any other European country..

it is true south africa is sooo dangerous gangsters from the slum come out all the time. i am kinda scared to go there but it is low class crimes so the players have nothing to worry about with their security.but as far as the fans.....they should be afraid very afraid in the crowds they stab you and pick pocket you and nobody knows who did it. so if you are going go with friends and be very aware
