I am completely serious.
However, I am reading a chapter of my "joking for beginners" book every day, and hope by next week to begin practising on my colleagues, in order to meaningfully interact with them in a non-serious way.
I am struggling, though, with the first chapter.
Why would anyone find a deep metaphysical question such as what motivated a domesticated fowl to attempt a motorway crossing funny?

Well... if you don't have a sense of humour, you are likely to go insane pretty quick, not that there are many really sane people...
But when it matters, I try to give a serious answer, and then ease it up a little by a quip or some joking. It makes it more digestable.
