Yes,

I live 35 years with out it.
I have it now because my children think I should have one, but cell phone have become a problem in the road. Teen walks in the street talking in the phone and are so distracted that cross the road without looking.
At schools have become a problem, phone ringing here and there.

Cell phone where made for Business mans, doctors, layers, and police officers. Now even a 7 year old carries a cell phone.
What is this world turning to?

The mobile 'phone is the bane of our existence. I own one only because my daughters bought it for me. When the bill arrives, I charge the battery and put the 'phone back in my car. It has come in handy several times when I have had car trouble or wanted to call home to report on being stuck in traffic. But other than that it's perfectly useless. I can't imagine why anybody would be willing to waste big bucks on constant chatter. The mobile 'phone craze illustrates our overblown sense of importance. (Clearly, I am out of step with the mainstream!)

umm...yes. Why do 13 year olds need a phone unless they are traveling to different states because of divorce. People who have there liscense so if something happened they can call. Other wise it really isn't necessary. I don't have one and I'm 13 and I don't want one.

I don't think so. I mean, there weren't any people before mobiles were invented, right?

Absolutely! I do not own one and have no desire to own one. To me, it would be too much like a "leash". I like my freedom. In a true emergency, people know how to reach me.
