This is Brett Favre the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers right? This isn't some random guy in your back yard football league. Calling Brett Favre the most overrated player in the HISTORY of sport is absolutely ridiculous. 2 MVP's and a Super Bowl ring. If you consider that overrated what do you call Dan Marino,a no good talented quarterback. You probably are a Vikings or Bears fan. Tired of getting beat up all the time are you!!

At this time he absolutely is. I am a Viking fan so I may have a bias, but I do have to admit in the late 90s you really couldn't do much better than Farve. However, he only won one Super Bowl and he lost another one where everyone thought going in he had a much superior team. The only time Green Bay was truly the best team in the NFC was when Reggie White was leading their defense, without him the Pack were never as good even though they had Favre.

Favre was erratic and turnover prone when he was young. Was an outstanding gun slinger when he had tons of talent around him. Now that he is on a mediocre team again he throws nearly as many interceptions as TDs. Neither team is ever out of a game when Farve is your QB, he can save you or kill you on every throw.

So yes Favre is a good quarterback, one of the best of his era. But please he is not god, nor the messiah, or even really any super natural being. Packer fans need to give the Favre worship a rest and realize Holgren had more to do with the Super Bowl.

NO NO NO!!! you are really stupid, no offense. But if you think he had more interceptions than yardage passed, then you really must have a heavy addiction to crack. He is not the most overrated QB of all time. Where did you hear this?....your crack senses must have told you it. The most overrated QB is deffinetely Tom Brady. Just because he had championships doesn't mean hes even good. Look at records and they'll tell you. He had a great team......thats it. I would get off that crack if i was you.

Yes I do think he is overrated, BUT not the most overrated. My reason thinking he is overrated has more to do with announcers more than anything. It is like when he made a good play, which alot of other QB's do also, the announcers would go nuts saying " only Bret can do that". If I had to vote for the MOST overrated player it would be the not so great Mike Vick. He is starting to get the "praise" from the announcers as Bret does or did

Favre maybe be the most overrated NFL player ever, but I'd make the arguement that the most overrated player in all sports is Shaq.

No he is one of the best quarterback in the history of the game. yeah he might be getting old and not doing as good but you need to look at when he was younger and was in his prime. So he is definitely not overrated

Yeah 3 MVP's the 3rd best career passer rating ever, but I still think he is the most overrated player ever.

Your nuts.Im a bear fan and even i like farve,..The end is in sight for him and he will make the hall as soon as his 5 years are up after he retires ..And who cares about interceptions, lets talk about how many yards he's thrown for and how many clutch wins hes pulled out

No, but he's not what he once was. He's living on his past accomplishments...7 years ago, with the game one the line, I would wanted him to have the ball, not anymore. Time has taken its toll on him. He should retire near the top of his game, I would hate to see him fade away with mediocrity in his last year.

no, 207 consecutive starts, 3 MVPs, a super bowl, over 50,00 passing yards, and 396 touchdown passes make him the greatest of all time(for now). peyton manning probably will break all those records however.
