not in california. NK will bomb it to oblivion before there's a draft there.

If recruiters were allowed to DO THEIR JOBS and could get onto college campuses, we wouldn't NEED a draft. If Clinton hadn't decimated the military we wouldn't need a draft. If the Liberals had an INKLING of reality. we wouldn't need a draft.
AND,if we DO get into a tussle with North Korea, HOW do you think IT started? Why doesn't France or India or China get into it with No. Korea? They are closer than we are.
I HOPE there is a draft then all those out of work protesters will have something to do other than stand on the street corners and hold up signs.

Very interesting. Most don't understand the possible seriousness of the Korean situation . North Korea still has stong ties to two nuclear powers :China and Russia. Russia and China had joint military excersizes this year commenting this "alliance" was needed because of problems seen in Amercan activities. The North Korean situation is a chance for Russia and probably China to flex their muscles and show America and the world that there are others forces in the world to deal with. Combine with this the situation in Iran where China and Russia have definate interests, Remember the world (thanks to the US consumer) is becoming global, we will all compete for the worlds oil. Oil equals the middle east = Iran ,Iraq, Saudi Arabia. Eventually a showdown is enevitable. The flexing of muscles is about to begin for real. Expect a draft, we will get a better cross section of personnel and we can lower pay.The current situation in Iraq is costing almost one million dollars per soldier per year, we can't afford this with a real war.

The majority of our troops are not in the Mid-East. And there would not likely need to be a draft if we were attacked by North Korea, or anyone else for that matter. Even though the liberal media downplays it at every turn, patriotism is alive and well.

Draft? If we went to war with N Korea it would turn into a missle war with N Korea getting destroyed and possibly even some of S Korea on accident.

There is a strong possibility that the draft could be reinstated for the very reasons listed in your question. What a shame.

I'm a woman I can't be drafted. Even if I could, somehow on my military papers they have me listed as a "Conscientious Objector" so I don't think they'll be looking me up any time soon! lol (Don't ask me how that even got in there....another final jab from my @sshole commander I guess)

If the draft is reinstated, then everyone who calls themselves an AMERICAN and enjoys the freedoms we have should stand PROUDLY and go to war if you are called upon to defend YOUR country. If you want to run as another poster stated then you should leave now!

Bush does not want his approval rating to drop any further and he won't insitute a draft because of this.
