If you are looking for a student forum, to talk to others who are going in September for example, then try these:

http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk
http://www.studentdump.com

If you are looking for advice about uni, finance leaving home and making friends etc. then try these:

http://www.missyourmum.com
http://www.nusonline.co.uk/info/freshers/
http://www.herts.ac.uk/services/counselling/Fresher.htm
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/onelife/education/18/freshers1.shtml
http://www.e4s.co.uk/docs/student-jobs.htm
http://www.thesite.org

These sites have some pieces of writing by current student that are interesting to read:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/leeds/students/index.shtml

Your university may even have its own forum on the union website, so have a look. (Edinburgh does).

Hope I helped. Sorry if the links are typed wrong! xx

If you are looking to talk with other students and get advise about college life, go to:
http://www.studentdump.com/

Your best bet for research is to utilize the services provided by the college you are attending. Most colleges have a multitude of databases. You can speak with your school's librarian regarding how to access the databases.

Most importantly, DO NOT rely on any one website for all your needs. Certain website cater to certain needs. Don't limit yourself! Good luck!
