Let's go through this point by point.

Surplus: Was never truly a surplus. It was "created" by shifting money from other programs. Besides, if you check your copy of the Constitution, you'll see that Congress, not the President, has control of the federal purse strings. Try again, Spanky.

Good economy and low gas prices: Once again, how much sway does the President have over these? If you want to talk about how Clinton had such a good economy, why don't you give Bush credit for a good economy now?

Peace: Hmmm...so I imagined Somalia, Bosnia, and Kosovo? Tell the Serbs and Kosovars how peaceful the Clinton administration was. How about several terrorist attacks on American forces, including the WTC bombing of '93. I guess you consider it acting in the name of "peace" that he did nothing about them. And you know how we have to worry about North Korea having nukes today? Guess who gave them nuclear power? Yep, you got it. Your President of Peace.

Please - your revisionism is tiresome. You'll have to do better than that.

It's called a bubble economy, inflation/supply and demand, and we were NOT at peace. What do you call bombing Baghdad in '98, getting involved in Croatia, sending troops into Haiti, and bombing Iraq from a naval ship off the coast of Bahrain?
I don't bash Clinton, but the "good" things weren't because of him. Besides, I remember when the gas prices skyrocketed several times, and unemployment started rising before Clinton left office. And my husband lost his job as a direct result of Clinton's presidency.
Truth is, Clinton wasn't a BAD president (other than being totally amoral), but he wasn't spectacular either.

Actually Clinton used the military more than any other president. The surplus was at the expense of needed programs, and the economy was not the result of anything he did. So, I guess not.

ya know, it never fails to amaze me how narrow minded & niable both blue & white collar republicans can be! Most don't even know why they r other than 2 say "well my Dad was & his Dad was & thats good enough 4 me" or aborshin or same sex marrage or gun control or some other insuniffent issue. For our sake as a country & grate nation, pull your head out of the center of the universe& look around! Name one thing the man has done right. Excpt 4 successfully geting fuel prices at the 3.00 + level. Rember people who live in glass houses shound't throw stones.

Surplus ?
You must mean the money saved by cutting the miliary 25%, selling our aircraft to a junk dealer , canceling the new body armour for the troops and the armoured Humvees.
Good economy ?
You must mean NAFTA and all the jobs we sent Mexico .
Low gas prices ?
If he'd done something then, like open Anwar, we'd be paying less today.
Peace ?
Somalia, Kosovo , multiple terror attacks on U.S. civilians, embasies, aircraft , and , of course , the U.S.S. Cole

Dream on !!!

How about the TAX CUT he ran on ,that turned into the largest TAX INCREASE in our nations history ?
How about sweetheart deals for North Korea ?
Now they have Nukes and are testing delivery systems to get them here, BY-BY L.A. !!

KEEP ON DREAMING !!

Of course we did. The Contract with America did more than just that, though. The Clinton years were fueled by Congress, not that lying, cheating case of history.

I did not intentionally raise those gas prices!

Clinton was one of the best presidents! He was bad in the bedroom though.
