The shorts had a logo of a cartoon creature. I had a couple pair in 1983. I had yellow with white polka dots. They almost looked like surfing shorts.

WildBrockman: Parachute pants were ones with zippers made of nylon material similar to parachutes (thus the name) during the break dancing era.
MC Hammer wore "genie" pants as some called them. That was the 90s by the way.
