You can see it through a telescope. The only question is whether it is big enough to be called a planet. Astronomers are still arguing about that.

There isnt an offical 10th planet of our solar system.

Mike Brown asserts that Sedna, his newly discovered Pluto-like object with a gigantic, highly elliptical 10,500-year orbit that takes it from about 76 to 928 AU, cannot be part of the scattered disc or the Kuiper Belt as it has too distant a perihelion to have been affected by Neptune's migration. Even though it has been discovered it hasn't offically been "adopted" into the solar system.

The reason it is not offical is because no one can agree if it is a planet or not because they can't decide what makes a planet a planet.

Check out my sources to learn more about the Sedna debate:

from what i hav heard, the prediction of a 10th planet is based upon the slight perturbations in the movement of pluto in its orbit. i am not sure wether there really is a 10th planet.

Define 'planet'

Its not that there is a shortage of objects there, its that things aren't BIG enough(by astronomical standards).

In fact, some don't even consider Pluto a planet.. its just that it has a moon revolving around it(Charon).

There have been reports of an object (alternatively, 'planetoid') even bigger than pluto.

None.

They may even demote Pluto.

Beyond Uranus its just Kuiper belt objects all the way.
