Dan Fouts was a good quarterback, and I enjoyed watching him play. However, Dan Fouts never took his team to a Super Bowl. Tom Brady won 3 of them.

Fouts was Hall of Fame I'll give him that, but these answers surprise me..Tom Brady?....the best EVER?, ok put down the crack pipe. Attention TRUE followers of the game. OK..Marino and Montana are in that catagory...yet no one mentioned Mr.Bradshaw?, Otto Graham?, Johnny U.?, Namath?, not even Bob Griese(QB of the ONLY undefeated Super Bowl Champ and a Hall of Famer). Hell, for my money Fran Tarkenton is better then Tom Brady...you laugh? Fran was in 4 Super Bowls..unfortunately for him he played The Steel Curtain(2), Miami and Kansas City with Len Dawson and Co. those are 3 Hall of Fame teams.(although I still believe if those games were outdoors in Minneapolis the Vikings would have taken at least 2...they were a cold weather team!!), Hell Marino only went to 1 Super Bowl!!, and Jim Kelly(4 straight..W or L a hell of an accomplishment) he should have W one but friggin' Norwood shanked that kick! Also no Roger Staubach?...what the hell? Even Bart Starr is better then Brady at this point. Over-all I think Brady is Good....but football is a TEAM game!! Fouts is a MUCH better pure passer...slow as piss..but man could he throw the rock. I could list AT least 15 other QB's that are better passers then Brady....I will say this Brady just knows how to find the open man..plan and simple! Oh what about Randall Cunningham..for my $$ I think he threw the smoothest deep ball.
But.....Fouts is over Brady...for now, talk to me in 4-5 seasons. Because you have to remember with Charlie Joiner and Kellen Winslow Sr. alot of QB's can look good :)...It seems only James W. has any idea what the hell is going on here!! Yo, Jimmy what about Doug Williams, Brian Sipe, Dave Krieg, and maybe even Bernie Kosar?

How many rings does Brady have? And how many did Fouts win? I understand that SD never had much of a defense when Fouts played and he was a terrific quarterback but not the best of all time. I can't understand why Tom Brady doesn't get the respect a two time SB MVP should. He is a heck of a QB and a winner in every sense of the word.

No. Tom Brady is mobile and can avoid the rush enough to get that last 1/2 second of time in the pocket. If you ever saw Fouts, he couldn't walk to his car. Also, Fouts was not a good deep passer - Brady is.

But I liked ol' Dan. Air Corryell, on the West Coast before the West Coast.

Are you freakin crazy? Dan Fouts was a joke... I don't care what anyone says... OH and by the way, Tom Brady isn't the best championship or winning QB. Your best Championship QB was Joe Montana, and the winningest QB was John Elway. Dan Fouts... Your crazy...

Marino or Montana. Brady comes NO WHERE CLOSE!!!! you gotta be f****** stupid to think he even belongs in the same game than them. They are legends, tom brady just had a good team to back him up. And Dan Fouts is not best of all time.

I don't know how you could put him ahead of guys like Favre, Marino, Montana, and Elway. I think Fouts belongs in the group of guys like Aikman, Tarkenton, Unitas and Young.
If Marino had won one or two championships, I think there would be no doubt that he was the greatest ever.

Being a Charger fan I have to say yes but it depends on how you look at it...If you put him on Elway's Broncos,Favre'sPackers, or Brady's Patriots there is no doubt in my mind he would have been the greatest..The man would put up 35 points on the board every sunday but his defense would give up 40.......If he could have had half the defense those teams had he would have been in a few super bowls.
