Where do you go to be alone?

Some people can be alone in a crowd, for others it's the mountains; how about you?

I have to wait until everyone else in my family goes to bed at night, and then I basically have the whole house to myself. Down side to this is that I get very little sleep, but at least I do have some time to feel less invaded.

When I have the chance, though, my favorite place is to be standing high on a mountainside, looking out as far as possible, and realizing how small me and my problems really are in the grand scheme of things. It just helps me put things in perspective...wish I could do it more often.

Well Im a mother of a 16 month old and a wife to a 25 year old so I cant get out to the mountians or get really to far away. This is going to sound kinda funny but I go into the bathroom and lock the door its the only room in the house that has a lock. I just sit in there and read or take a bath, everybody is always outside the door banging and calling my name but they cant get in so I guess thats the one place I go to be alone. I would love to go somewhere liekthe beach to get away but I live in the city and the only water here is dirty. lol

I like to people watch at Disneyland, but it is way too crowded there so I get stressed. I guess I just like to be by myself in my house on my couch with a good book or a good movie on. When I was younger I liked to be in my parents' backyard by the pool just laying around listening to trees and birds. For the quickest reboot, I enjoy going to the beach in winter when it's not crowded. Being around nature when no one else is there really recharges my batteries, so to speak.

I go to be alone by watching a movie. Doesn't matter where (theater or home). I loose myself into the plot and think about what I would do in the situations presented.

I call it my Sacred Space. Its anywhere, Quiet, so i can be 1 on 1 with God.... It's an awesome thing. And its so much better when I go out in the woods and just put out a blanket to lay on or something.

In the pleasant corners of my mind, I close my eyes and I picture exactly where I want to be.

On a ferris wheel.

In a park.

A beautiful bead of blue and purple roses and green tulips with puckered petal lips.

Sometimes there is no place to go when you need to be alone.

Sometimes you have to forget where you are in your mind to keep yourself sane.

I go Inside my mind to a place i have prepared just for me, grassy fields, full thick oak trees, blue skies and a wind carrying the sweet smell of chamomille. i settle right down in the grass and just lay there thinking about nothing. Just watching the clouds roll by and listening to the wind, whistling by my ear. i feel it on my face and i just smile..........................
