I do see your point - saying he's leaning toward the house bill is a bunch of bunk - and saying people can stay here an extra two years after border security starts - that is out of the question completely!!

Who does he still think he's kidding??

I'm not a Bush supporter, but no, I can't listen without laughing at him. You're right, it does seem like a SNL skit. Only it's not. This guy is ACTUALLY running our country. That's the sad part of it!

I can't help laughing as I imagine liberal Democrats watching the speech, trying to decide what they're going to go after him for next. It must suck to live like that, hoping the other guy screws up.

I am a bush supporter, and no - I usually laugh to, but he (Bush) also laughs. He knows he can't speak without sounding like an idiot, and makes fun of himself.

I don't laugh when he speaks. I feel embarrassed that this person is speaking for the country. Every time he slips up on a word I feel like the entire world is laughing at us for electing this guy...twice. I can only watch him for a few minutes at a time, I'm too ashamed.

Laugh? Of course not. What's funny about the word, "subliminable" ? Or, "The french don't have a word for 'entrepreneur'.
Actually that stuff is pretty funny.

Other Bushisms include:
"This notion that the United States is getting ready to attack Iran is simply ridiculous. And having said that, all options are on the table."

"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda."

"You work three jobs? … Uniquely American, isn't it? I mean, that is fantastic that you're doing that." --to a divorced mother of three, Omaha, Nebraska, Feb. 4, 2005

Nope, sure can't. I respect the guy, most times I even agree with him, but every time he speaks in public I cringe. I think he would have been better off if he had never spoken in public. He gets so nervous, and that causes him to mess up, which makes him even more nervous, which causes him to mess up even more...poor guy. Even if he doesn't get flustered, there'll always be something to pick on him about.

Yes, I'm glad I'm not having to listen to Kerry continuously about the medals he won from his band-aid scratches in Vietnam.

I agree. I believe the President is an intelligent man; he just can't talk straight. It's funny even though I generally support him.

Bush supporters can't probably read so they won't be able to answer this question.
