Is there really a difference in people attitudes customs conduct ways of living than the east or west coast of the united states

the only real difference is about 4 hours. other than that, theres smart, dumb, young, old, tall, short, nice, mean ppl on both coasts.

Looking at the people and the way they are from the perspective of someone that lives in neither coast (southwest here) West coast people are very healthy living if somewhat vain in their money and belongings and looks, whereas East coast people seem more cultured and intellectual but have a bitter resentment to the free living lifestyle the west coast people embrace. Hmm, I like them both in ways.
