They suck at present, but there is hope, if the rest of the world gets it's off it's duff and stands up to the hell bent policies of the present US administration.
Doing our bit here, but world opinion would give us a boost.

Go read "Democracy in America", as I understand it that might help.
U.S.Amarica isn't totally a democracy, it's partially a Republic.
