Cool Letter Folding

1) Fold paper in half widthwise
2) Unfold. Take bottom left corner and fold it up and left so that the part that used to be the lower right side is parallel to the central crease and 1/2"-3/4" farther down. You should have a right triangle whose apex is pointing at the center of the page.
3) Repeat Step 2 with the top right.
Fold the bottom right corner so that the bottom right side is touching the top left. Your letter should resemble this silhouette:
.............a
.........aaa.a
.....aaaaaaaa
.aaaaaaaaaa
.aaaaaaaaaa
.aaaaaaaaaa

4) About halfway down on the left side you will see an obtuse angle. Fold your paper in half so that this corner is at the bottom of the left side and it resembles this silhouette:
.......................a
....................aaaa
................aaaaaaaa
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Now fold the small triangle of paper down over the front of your letter and attach with your favorite adhesive.
This is in fact a format supported by the USPS. Happy folding!

Try origamy, the art of Japanese paper folding. I'm sure you could find an interesting design that can then be easily UNfolded to read.
