Where can I find info about mixed marriage discrimination regarding someone's job?

I am married to someone of another race and someone in my workplace made remarks about my husband's race. What can I do and who can I contact?

Made remarks? Depends on what was said ... if someone said, hey, I see you're married to a Chinese, that would be a remark, but not a bad remark if you know what I mean .. tell the person who makes remarks that you're not amused ... if the person was your boss, and you are discriminated against in your workplace, e.g. you don't get a promotion or something because of your husband's race, now THAT would be discrimination big time ... but a remark? Hmmm ... depends I would say ....

Any dumbass in your workplace can make snide comments about your interracial marriage. Its only when those comments change into treatment of you that is different than it normally would be, (like you don't get a raise or promotion) and even then, if the employee was doing this, the company will say that they did not authorize the employee to say those things, and they are not liable. Probably. If you want a second opinion, see a lawyer, but I do employment discrimination law.
If I were you I would tell my supervisor/boss about the comments and tell them to handle it.

If it was just a fellow employee there is actually very little you can do. People can say things and be jerks. If is or leads to harrasement though you can file a complaint perhaps with your company.

nothing yet, but if U can proof that it kept U from getting a promotion, then U can do something about it...so start documenting everything...another tip, don't tell any one on the job...

you cant really do anything, if you really want to take action talk to the compliance manager at your work and tell them that you were offended.
