Is Mr. President going to initiate a war with North Korea now?

Just wanting to know what the American public thinks regarding the whole issue with N. Korea launching all the missiles. You don't get the public's opinion from the news, so don't jump down my throat for asking this question.

And don't call me stupid either.

And why is it okay for North Korea to have nuclear weapons, but not for other countries? I'm not a political person, so don't think I'm ignorant....just don't follow this stuff.

Good question. When I first read the heading I thought this was going to be another USA bashing, then I read Your additional information and realized that You are concerned, and wanting to become more informed, and to obtain public opinion. It was the opinion that these short, medium, and long range missiles were not supposed to be an actual threat, and were supposedly intended to land in the Sea of Japan. The missiles were said to not have had actual bombs in them, it was just to show the rest of the World that North Korea has the capability to harm others, if in fact They feel the need to do so. They are Communists. South Korea is not. The United States fought North Korea and China in the 1950's to keep South Korea out from under the Communist Rule.

Now what I was astonished about was the fact that the United States actually had a ship located near North Korea, whose job was to shoot down any missiles that were aimed at the United States. The missiles intended to be launched in our direction, exploded within a minute of being launched. Other Countries were also on guard to shoot down any missiles intended to harm them.

And People grumble about our government. Sounds to Me like They were spot on, and are in great knowledge of the dangers that could befall Our Country, and Others.

I think you asked a good question and got a lot of dumb responses. That's mainly because the American majority (of the public), are strongly against Bush and his asministratiion. And for good reason. But the truth is that war should be avoided if possible, and if Kim Ill Jong can't be rasoned with, he should be stopped by military force. If this happens you will hear everyone saying that the US is "bullying" N. Korea or that we should mind our own business, but the truth is that we should have been involved earlier on with N. Korea. We are just hearing about N. Korea as of recently, but Kim Ill Jong has a massive military and dozens upon dozens nuclear plants. N.Koreans have been starving and dying everyday for years, while the military builds a nuclear powerhouse. I hope war can be avoided, but if it can't, I say we destroy the N. Korean military before they nuke someone.

No. If you were watching FOX news channel, it was pretty much a publicity stunt by Korea. Those missles posed NO threat towards the United States throughout the whole stupid uproar. I can't believe people are still talking about it. They were pretty much set up to go over the ocean and then fail, they weren't pointed towards Japan or the US. North Korea isn't THAT stupid.

US shall help S Korea and wrestle with technical and logistic help. 2.N Korea shall not nuke S Korea as they're too close. 3 China and Russia do not pick to wrestle US or the international,they received't help N Korea both. 4 once N Korea makes use of nuclear arsenal,US would receive a probability to wipe N Korea Kim out,they is acquainted with the outcomes nicely. 5. No. As in todays news, he will go about it diplomatically and force sanctions on them if he can rally the international community. North Korea is not much of a threat if they can't even launch a successfull missle. They are a joke. I do agree though the government there should be eliminated though as that country is just one big cult.
