What sort of metal would be good for making bracelets like bangles, that would be very heavy? Something like ten bracelets would weigh a pound. What metals, aside from silver and gold, are good for jewelry? What is the heaviest metal? What metals are easy to work with?

Gold is a very heavy metal when used in a high concentration like 18k or higher, but you said not gold or silver. Copper would be easy to work with and also be fairly dense.

Uranium & plutonium are two of the heaviest metals but I don't think you will want to use them.

Have you considered copper or
bronze?

Many people use titanium for jewelry. However it is a very light metal, one of the reasons it was chosen actually.
