boy or girl? how can I tell??

too early for ultrasound, thanks soooo much for the useful input though.....

My mother told me an old trick~ get a needle and a piece of string. Tie the string on the needle, then have someone hold the string so the needle hangs and hang it over the palm of your hand, keep your hand wide open. The needle should start to move. It suppose to tell you the number of kids and the sex.

When the needle goes around in a circle that means girl, back and forth is a boy. It will do it for as many children you can have (thats up to you). Then the needle will just stop moving!!!!

Try it and see if it works!!! I did and had a girl and a boy. I stopped after 2 but it said that I was going to have 2 more girls.

I agree with ultrasound.

But for an old wives' tale: my mom tells me that if the mother stays normal-looking (or more beautiful), she's going to have a girl. But if the mother starts to look relatively uglier while pregnant, she's going to have a boy.

wait till 20 weeks, have an ultrasound and start planning. But the fun is in the not knwoing until the baby is born. Just hope for healthy and happy and everything else takes care of itself.

Sorry, I can't bear old wives tales!!! Take them all with a pinch of salt.... only a scan can determine for sure and even some of those turn out wrong!

The best wives tale I've heard was that if your pulse is stronger on your left wrist it's a boy, right wrist, a girl. It worked for me. Coincidence? Probably:)

I am dead seriouse this works1!!!! Ok get a peice of string about a foot long tie a nail to it ..test it on your husband first,,hold it still and if it swings back in forth its a girl if it swings right and left its a boy simple hold it over the rist or something ..its freaky how well it Works

You take a nail and string you tie the nail to the end of the string and have someone hold it over your tummy and it depends on if the string goes counterclockwise or not do it to someone else to see which way means if it's a girl or a boy it usually works

One old wives tale says that if your belly is up high, it's a girl. If your belly's down low its a boy.

Have the new advanced scan done, apparently it tells you the answer. Bonus is you get a DVD of the whole scan to keep forever and the sounds of the womb to aid ibaby in sleeping in cot.

try this....its a old wives tale but it worked for me
use a gold wedding ring tie it ont a piece of string if it swings left to right it is a boy.....if it circles while on your stomach then its a girl
