I currently use the patch Ortho Evra as a form of birth control, but I plan to get a tattoo. Is this safe?

yes, it's not much different that any other form of birth control.

Be careful about the patch. It has a large amount of hormones that might not be safe for you. I doubt the tattoo would have much of an effect, though. If you use the patch, just don't put the patch on the same spot as a new tattoo.

Ortho Evra sucks. Tattoos don't suck. That's my oppinion. Combining them is not harmful... but I will say... both require a good deal of thought before going through with it.

Tatoos on women suck. I hate them and I would never get one.
I use the shot and condoms, mostly because I ahve a lot of partners and I try to be safe.

You should be fine. I hated the patch, it sucked and you always had those little black marks. The shot is WAAAAAAYYYYYYYY better and you only have to worry about it every 3 months.
