To copy, select everything you want to copy (highlight it) and then hit control v. To paste it, hit control c.

To copy and paste.
1) highlight whatever you want to copy by starting at beginning, left click and drag
.2)put pointer on highlighted portion and right click. You will see a menu and on that menu it will say copy, click copy.
3)go to where you wish to insert copied material. If your software will allow, highlight a small space at the beginning of the spot you wish to put the copy, if not put pointer in space and click to bring cursor there.
4)right click for menu again, but this time go to paste and left click.
If you've done all this and it will not let you, then what you are trying to copy probably has a block put on it. Some copyrighted materials have this done to prevent them being stolen, especially if person displaying image is selling them.
