Those signs are up when you go by a smaller city. Ex: "Pearland next 3 exits"

I have been driving all over the United States, and I have never seen such a sign an any metropolitan area. Where have you seen these signs?

My guess is that there are already so many signs that adding those would cause too much of a distraction. Buy a map, learn the roads, and then you won't need that sign.

Cause we don't need to be reminded about where we're going three exits before we get there!!! The state is huge, puttong up so many of those signs is a waste of taxpayers money... We pay attention when we drive and thus save on our state highway expenses...

Houston has a lot to offer, but our strong suit is not traffic signs. Why? I don't know. I guess our city government spent all its money supporting idiots like Enron instead of putting up decent, and correct, traffic signs.

I guess those idiots can't count that far, or they forget the names by the time they come back to paint the signs
