Buckwheat Washinton ! He invented the Wheel in 1998. It was the real deal wheel that keeps spinning ,even after the ride stops. Before Buckwheat's invention of the wheel there were just boring rims that just sat still when the ride was still.

I thought it was the Mayans who actually first used it as a ferris wheel ride for children. But I may be wrong. The Celts were the first to use iron rims on wheels so they wouldn't wear down as quickly as wooden ones.

The correct question should be "Who invented the wheel".
Natural things are discovered, mechanical things are invented.
I don't think anyone can answer this question.
No one really knows exactly when it was.

no one really knows for sure, but early man obviously may have been tinkering with their bone chisel and friend's skull hammer, and eventually made something round that he could roll around and piss off his other friends.
