OMG everyone stop answer "just be yourself" i mean her parents can tell her that she wants to know what 2 wear. Right now at your age arepastel, old navy or even american eagle idk my sister shopped there when she was your age but u want2 make sure u look your best on the first day of school cause first impressions r very important. I say a cute jean skirt with a nice pair of scandal and a t-shirt (no tanks your not allowed to u dont want to have 2 change into gym clothes on your first dy that will suck) with a long beaded necklaces. Do your hair really nice and make sure u iron and no stains r on your clothes. GOOD LUCK!!

When I was in 7th grade I totally had all eyes on me with just a pair of jeans and t shirt. Actually it was shorts and a t shirt. Just smile and if something embarassing happens laugh at yourself. It creates a really good atmosphere. Also it will let other people know that you have a fun side. Everyone has a fun side.

A great color that looks good on YOU, and something with a great cut. You'd be surprised how a simple t-shirt cut right looks better than a designer shirt.
Also something you feel comfortable and great in. This is usually not something new. The most annoying thing to boy or girl is someone who is constantly figitty with their clothes, i.e. pulling down their skirt, readjusting the shirt because they didn't realize it was too revealing. It was only after a few hours of use before the new elastic didn't keep its shape.
And my number one answer is a SMILE!

Do not put so much emphasis on what you wear. It is more important how you feel, manoeuvre and deal with others. However if you are anxious you can always go what is comfortable and makes you feel good, a cool pair of jeans a nice T-shirt in your favourite colour, a sweater with zipper down front for easy take off/put on in case the temperature is nice/cool some new sneakers (you can even get them to match your t-shirt if you like).

well because your 12 and in 7th grade dont mean your fixing to start I didnt start till I was 13 and 1/2 so until that day wear what you want but honestly avoid white pants... LOL

i just finished 7th grade and for the first day of school
i wore a skirt that wasn't so short and i wore a nice
shirt form areopostal. with sneakers.
who cares what u wear the first day of school
just dress of how u would usually dress
have fun picking out the clothes lol!!!!

I always liked dressing up for the first day of school, but it's way better to be comfortable. So if you can find some cute shirt to wear with jeans and be comfortable, you've got it made.

Wear what you usually wear to school. The first day of school is just when you meet your teachers, find your class, and if your going to the jr. high then you go to another school, and hang out with your friends again. But anyway, just wear casual (usual) clothing.

im going into 10th grade n i say that 1st impressions are very vital !!!! it really depends on who you are. if ur into the current styles, then i suggest that u wear a mid thigh skirt with a 3/4 sleeve ( or long sleeve) shirt under a very cute, flirty spaghetti strap. if u cant wear skirts, Capri's or Bermuda shorts are tha next best thing!
