da-lux - to clarify (for those who are rather dense) By anarchy and ruin (most people "got" what I meant) I mean cities are destroyed, stores burned, crime rampant, schools closed, governmental collapse, water systems broken, electical plants destroyed, etc. okay?

Do you have any doubts? We live in those kinds of conditions anyway, most of the time on the rez, so it wouldnt be anything new. Although it might be fun to watch the weak ones struggle around. Survival of the fittest.

I'm tough I can take care of myself. First I would work on building a giant wall around my house to help keep outsiders out where they belong. Then i'd work on my knife throwing skills to hunt animals in the woods for food. Then I would plant a garden for my veggies. Amidst the confusion i'll be able to steal a nice sized container of gas if I hurry, right? If i hook my generator up i'm able to run my water and my hot water tank. If i conserve I can have running water for a few months atleast. Then why not just drink rain water? I wouldn't care about getting a shower anymore because I wouldn't be going anywhere, so i'm good on that. I'll build a fireplace just outside my house for cooking and boiling water. I have it all figured out.

By keeping Bush and the Evil republicans in office, we are slowly slipping into that scenario. Remember 9/11?

Yes, some of us have good survival skills and could make it "out in nature." Would definitely weed out the bad people and gangs.

These things, or substitutes for them, would quickly be supplied by enterprising individuals. Your scenario is nothing but statist propoganda.
