The stuff in your room may affect sound quality. You should get a good pair of headphones - their sound will be unaffected by the room qualities, so this will represent your "perfect" sound. Next, adjust your equalizer to mimic this sound within the room. Whn your room sound matches the perfect sound, you have succeeded.
If you want true perfection, you need a Real Time Analyzer (RTA) setup, which measures the room's acoustics with a perfect sound right on its screen, and allows you to make adjustments with absolute precision. The headphone hack is a less-expensive alternative to that.

"good Sound" is oftentimes purpose. you may desire to believe your individual ears extra advantageous than the ears of others. That being pronounced, i might want to show out some issues approximately audio that could desire to help you on your seek. before everything, loud audio device seldom sound good. it is to no longer say that loud audio device sound undesirable, yet in very fact, audio device that are engineered to supply severe SPLs (Sound tension point = quantity) are not quite engineered for precise sound duplicate, in any different case customary as "good sounding audio device". Adversly, audio device that are designed to reproduce sound properly are extra fragile and are surely broken at loud volumes. so which you may desire to be certain it quite is extra significant to you... good sound... or loud sound. as quickly as the respond to this comes into concentration, you would be waiting to truly seem for some audio device. additionally, whilst employing a turn table, in case you're wanting domicile audio device, you may desire to grasp that ported audio device are oftentimes a great decision. Ported audio device are extra suseptable to break from clipping, and the crackling sound which you pay attention on a checklist is exceedingly a lot the same sound as audio clipping and can for this reason reason the same harm. i might notably propose sealed audio device whilst employing them with a turntable.

I presume you are talking graphic equalisation ie bass & treble.
I find that I adjust mine according to the music I'm listening to - some recordings are better produced than others, and some have been recorded with more bass/treble than others

Buy a graphic or spectrum analyser and hook it up to the tape in/outputs of your amplifier. Adjust the frequencies so that the shape of the controls looks like a smile, e.g. high "lows" - flat midrange and high "highs"

A good quality system does not need adjustment. Hence high end kit doesn't have tone controls.
