I still remember it. I remember when a lot of people in NYC walking in Brooklyn Bridge feeling desperate for electricity. What else did you rememer?

Yes. It wasn't that long ago, afterall. I remember that it went out while I was at work and luckily my shift was ending. It was the day after my birthday. My friend called from Iraq in the middle of the night and I had to sit in the kitchen in the dark to talk to him. Nothing too exciting.

I was in Michigan roasting sitting w/ a friend very worried about her sis in NYC. And also thinking selfishly how happy I am it was that week and not the week after when I would be in NYC .. and for that .. I got stuck in an elevator on that trip .. Karma is all around

I remember it. We had actually just recently moved to NY and didnt really know anyone. So not only were we out of electricity but we were basically alone. It was not fun.

I sure do. I was in Toronto at the time. I sure hope that never happens again. The city looked so weird with no light what so ever except candles burning inside and outside on patios, and it was so hot inside!
