i don't no what is wrong with it..it has just 'died'? and it wont download music or play it...it just flashes whenever i press play...and it is fully charged...

When it flashes, that usually means there is something wrong. Shuffles are tricky, because there is no screen to see what is wrong. I have heard reports lately of this happening and I'm sure that Apple Customer Service would be happy to fix or replace it, especially if you're within the one-year period of buying it. Call them at 1-800-275-2273. Good Luck!

take it back to where you bought it from. Ipods are known to have a lot of problems with batteries (assuming it's a recent purchase, or send it back to apple).

The Ipod is the biggest joke on consumers ever, there are so many much better mp3 players around.

I would just take it back... especially since you or the person that got it for you paid good money for it...
