Regardin military votes........ENJOY.
There were 3600 overseas ballots, and a large number -- about 1400 of them -- were thrown out. Republicans have been claiming that many of them were the ballots of military personnel stationed overseas, and they were dismissed because they did not have a postmark. They have accused the Democrats of trying to throw those ballots out.

Democrats deny they deliberately targeted military ballots. They say they just want all the overseas to be lawful. In fact, the best count by the Gore campaign has said that there were only about 200, if that many, military ballots that were disqualified for lack of a postmark. But subsequently, the attorney general of Florida, who is a Democrat and a big Gore supporter, in fact one of the leaders of the Gore campaign in Florida, has issued a directive to the local officials instructing them to revisit the absentee ballot issue and to count an overseas ballot so long as it is signed and dated by election day even if the postmark is missing.

the Gore legal team was leaning against suing Seminole County, where the county's Republican elections supervisor allowed GOP operatives to camp out in her office for 10 days, filling in the voter I.D. numbers on around 4,000 absentee ballot applications printed by the Republican Party.

Simply they repulican party voided those ballots when they altered them.....

Bill Daley, who is chairman of the Gore campaign, has said that the Gore campaign wants every single ballot that was lawfully cast, that was signed and dated appropriately, to be counted. They've said that all along. [Democratic Vice Presidential nominee] Joe Lieberman said much the same thing on Sunday. They've been pretty consistent that they do not want to disqualify military ballots.

The Gore campaign believes they will get their fair share of military ballots. They point out that the enlisted ranks, which are greater than the officer ranks, tend to be members of minority groups -- that's the demographics of today's military -- and they tend to be Democrats. So they feel they have nothing to fear from military ballots.

Still whining - I have some Kleenex for you. Get over it and move on. And you wonder why your party is in shambles & out of power.

Suppress the minority vote? You aren't very bright. The black and latino votes were the ones that helped Dubya win in 2004.

Let's not forget to tell the peolpe that the Republicans was the party who fought for Civil Rights in the 1960's. I remember that the southern Democraps stanuchly opposed the civil rights movment. BTW, Isn't the democratic party the only party with a ex KKK Grand Marshall - Sen. Robert Bryd?!

Because they don't vote for them!!

They don't vote for them because it is the party of the wealthy. They can't identify with the poor, hungry, black and homeless. They Blame THEM for being that way!! A "character defect!"
Then they give themselves 2 tax cuts and won't raise the minimum wage of $5.15 an hour!! Congress accepted their $3,400 dollar raise!!

The character defect is in the repub party!! That is called "Blaming the victim!!

We are in Iraq for oil and they are sitting back telling us how much they support the troops! Well if the do, pick up a rifle and go drive a hummer!!

You would never catch me voting for them!!

Since when was JFK a Republican?? I didn't see any republicans down there, and they are all voting for you know though, aren't they?

" I am in the right place. I am for the have and the have mores" George Bush! Fund raising event

Republicans do not suppress the minority vote. The real question is why do Democrats rely on the minority vote and then do not represent their so-called "constituency" when voting on big issues. Democrats are just as rich and white as Republicans so for them to say that they can relate to minorities and the poor is a bunch of crap. They are there to serve the interest of their party and their interest groups, not the people.

Nice examples of things that have been accused but not proven.
How about this example which you can verify by Wisconsin newspapers of the Democratic party repressing the Republican senior citizen vote in 2004 by flattening all the tires of the vans that were to take them to the polls? They were caught and convicted of it.
Amazing how liberals like to accuse with no facts but ignore the facts about themselves.

I don't understand your examples. The Democratic Party likes to perpetuate the myth that the Republicans are somehow a bunch of racists that want to oppress racial minorities. Frankly, I tired of this nonsense and tired of people that are dumb enough to believe it.

Why do Democrats eat babies? Washington 1983 and Seattle 2005 are examples.

Inflammatory questions with questionable and dubious "examples" are pretty ignorant.

That is propaganda by the left. They just can not get their votes to turn out without paying them, bribing them,or carting them in.Those same people tend not to feel the need to get up to go to work either!!!

I hope that you don't really believe this because there is no proof of this and is just another left myth that they are trying to spread. Lets quit all this slander and get back to the truth!
