There is really a rather simple solution to this.

Don't invite them. Cut off their food supply. When using the sink or tub, always clean it out and make sure it's dry. Make sure all your food in your cupboard is sealed.

Spreading chemicals just creates a breed of tougher ants and makes us even more dependant on those products and exterminators.

Look for a product called "Terro." There is nothing better on the market. It works like this:

Day One: One ant finds the sticky liquid.
Day Two: Every ant in the world is making tracks to sticky liquid.
Day Three: No more ants.

It's a slow acting poison and very enticing to the ants...they all come up, grab some, and bring it back to the nest. Kills the whole nest. I have used it indoors and out, but be careful! poison is poison and cats, dogs, children, cousin Fred, should be kept away from it. :-)

MIX together in a 2 gal. bucket .1 GAL.. White Vinegar and1 quart of lemon juice concentrate and
a plug of twist tobacco and Joy dish liquid. let it soak for a few day's This is for the yard. Strain and spray or pore the mixture directly onto the mound.

I have found that this works on flees ticks spiders and other bugs in yard and on pets. It does not kill them but it sure runs them off..

In house use cucumber slices. Just lay them ant where you see them.

Get some boric acid from your pharmacy.

It comes in a powder. You mix it with sugar, about half and half, and either put it near the ant mound, or where ever your ants are running, put it there and they will take it to the hole and it will kill the ants.

I wish you well..

Raid makes a spray for ants specifically but oranges work well too (just the peel- not the actual orange)- put it on the ant pile.
