You should ask your doctor this question. But keep in mind that if you are using powdered formlula, that the formula isn't sterile, either. In fact, babies have died from bacteria (primarily E. sakazakii) that were in the packaged formula. This is a serious risk factor only for pramature, sick, or very young babies. And tap water isn't sterile, either.
Bottled water isn't sterile, either. And most bottled water is *mineral* water; it has higher levels of some minerals. This is *not* good for your baby, as she/he can get too much of some minerals.

I use Nursery Water...it's so much easier. But you would need to boil any kind of water if you're not using the special baby water from the store.

As long as you live in a city where the water is safe to drink, you don't need to boil it.
If you have a well, it's best to buy your baby Nursery Water (it's bottled water with flouride in it). Well water doesn't contain flouride, and can contain harmful bacteria/organisms that might hurt your baby.

I think it depends on what the quality of your water is. We use an inexpensive filter on our tap and it has been fine for our baby. We have never boiled his water for his bottles. Hope this helps.

if you don't know the quality of your water, you should use bottled water. You can usually find out the quality by visiting the office where you pay your bill. Every area's water has a different history, so to be safe, use bottled water until you can find out.

I would definitely go and buy water. If you spend the extra money and get the water cooler, it is much better in the long run. Especially the ones that have the hot, warm, and cold water!!!!

You should if your baby is under 6 months of age and , or if you dont know the quality of your water. You can have your water checked at your local health department.

You really need to boil both and let them cool in the fridge,or you can use distilled or nursery water.
