Yes, my mom and I fought like cats and dogs when I was a teen. She was so mean to me for completely unreasonable reasons (i.e. not coming home from a cousin's house because we got stuck in a snowstorm). Even my friends and teachers would feel bad for me. I couldn't stand her and hated her guts at the time.
However, time does help heal wounds. We get along now (I'm almost 30) but I keep my distance and try not to spend more than an hour alone with her!

I was afraid of my dad. My parents believed in spanking, and they both participated. But, they were never abuseive in my opinion, and I'm not afraid of them now.

I'm always afraid my dad is going to tell one of his lame jokes or my mom is going to burst out with one of her jesus songs when we are out to dinner in public.

i was very afraid of my mom she beat the crap out of me a few times when i was younger so yeah i was but now that i am an adult she has mellowed out and she can actully be pretty cool sometimes so i am not scared of her anymore but you dont want to make her mad

I DID A LOT OF STUPID THINGS WHEN I WAS GROWING UP, AND I WAS AFRAID OF PUNISHMENT, NOT MY PARENTS. BUT IM GROWN NOW, AND HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS THE CHRIST. I GET ALONG GREAT WITH MY PARENTS. MY PARENTS WERE NEVER ABUSIVE WITH ME. IF YOURS OR ANYBODY U KNOW, U NEED TO TALK TO SOMEBODY ABOUT IT. POLICE OR SOME KIND OF CLERGY, SOMEBODY WHO CAN HANDLE THE PROBLEM. ABUSING A CHILD IS NEVER OK

i'm afraid of my mum bcoz she always judges people. she doesnt want me to have piercings or tattoos, she went mad when i had my belly pierced and i'm soon to get a tattoo. and im scared of what she'll think when she finds out about what i been doing with lads

No, not in a real sense. My dad meant it when he told us to do something (he was a cop) but real fear, no way! (he'd bring home stray dogs *L*)
