I am in India. Trying to contact a relative in Indiana, USA, my voice does not reach him, but voice messages do. The same when he calls me. Yahoo regrets not being able to set up a voice link.

I'm from India too. This happens due to problems with Yahoo Server. U need to hav good internet speed or try reinstalling ur Msngr.

I have been having a good conversation over yahoo with voice with a nice guy from India,I'm from U.S.A. ct.
We had a little trouble at first,I went over my sound stuff,setting etc. he went over his and we could call and hear each other well.
If we can talk from India to ct. I'm sure you can reach Indiana.
check you sound drivers,make sure nothing is muted except microphone,use the sound setup in yahoo voice,
make sure you don't have any popup blockers keeping you apart,I'm sure you'll get it but it takes alot of checking sometimes.

i got the same problem
go to control panel and sound there in microphone check box if it is checked disselect it
or in messenger run call setup assistant from action menu
and give the same suggestion to ur relative coz if their volume is mute u cant get voice

maybe, that you are very far apart and if your internet is not fast enough, you might not be able to talk...if you are 56k user, or dial-up then voice is not for you..anything above that should work..

try installing it from http://www.yahoo.com/messenger/
it will download and install it automaticly
