It depends on what your spending habits will be - how they will dress, what activities they get involved in, etc. I imagine that it works out to about the same in the end (until you have to pay for the wedding, of course!).
As babies and toddlers, boys can be dressed up with as many outfits as girls. Boys will probably be in diapers longer. Girls will probably require more hair items.
Again, it just depends on what you decide to do with each.

Congratulations on your babies! I've always wanted twins.
Economics probably won't have much of an impact on your finances until your children are older and begin to express an interest. One may love to ride dirt bikes and the other may turn out to be a reader. Or, one may want to learn ballet, or they maybe both will want to learn to dance professionally. The table today is really open for young people to do about anything they are inspired to do.
However, take some parenting classes, and I don't say this cruelly or smugly. You are going to have double the challenges raising twins, and yet, you may be better off too because they will have one another to keep entertained. You will be very surprised at the fun you would have joining a parenting class, or
community college class and meeting with other young parents. Just don't get into making the kids compete against each other for either you or their father's attention. Love them both, cuddle them and have fun being a family. Laugh a lot!
Good Luck!

I have heard from some of my black friends that girls DO cost more because you have to send them to a beauty parlor to have their hair done and with boys you just shave it off.
My mom never sent me to get my hair "done", I didn't go to prom, and I do not plan on wearing a wedding dress. The most expencive thing she baught me was my class ring (you buy those for boys too) and my graduation outfit ($50 and boys need one too).
As for girls caring more about their appearance and costing more, it only cost more because you buy what they want. Sure my mom baught me hair pieces, but it was $1 for 100 of them! That is CHEAP! They are equally expencive in the beginning and girls slightly (almost unnoticable) cost more then boys.
I seriously think they don't cost any different unless you LET them get what they want and then they will! What they WANT differs from what they NEED. As far as what they NEED to be "girls" is just the bras and stuff for a period, other then that their NEEDS are the same. Now their WANTS may make girls cost more then boys and vice versa!
Also the word WITCH is INCORRECT it is spelled WHICH and why are you even asking this, if it is your EX then why do you care? It really makes you look immature!

I can't believe anybody would think for half a second that boys were cheaper than girls. OMG!!!
Have you looked at the cost of toys or tennis shoes for boys lately? INSANE!!! They want remote cars, motorcycles, gocarts. 4wheelers, etc... See?
And oh I forgot about the more electronic boys with their PS2 etc... with the games costing $50 a pop.
And they just have to have those $200 tennis shoes.
Just wait until they are old enough to date a little. Remember, they have to pay for the girl's movie, etc... Where do you think they will get the money when they are 15 or 16 on this date? = you
Pray for girls honey!!! Pray for girls!!!!

I think they would be equally expensive. Little boys are usually more into video games which are a lot of money. It would really just depend on their interests as they get older.

It depends on the family values. To be fair, both should cost about the same. Sometimes it depends more on the kid than the gender. Like if one kid is in every club and band and choir and football they need more $$ for things than a kid who doesn't join anything. A kid who loves computers might want $$ for that. There is no difference in gender. But some parents spend more on one gender than another, but that is the parents' prejudice.

They're both expensive. In the beginning, there's no difference. As they get older, it depends more on involvement in activities, medical problems or emergencies, etc. than gender.

I have a boy and girl 10.5 months apart. girls are definatly more expensive because they are more aware of theire appearance, and what others think, not to mention after puberty you have plenty of personal hygene products to buy, plus prom dresses, weddings, the list goes on and on

Babies and kids are very expensive. You are showing your immaturity by even asking this question.
