Humans look the way they do because of the unique combination between our environment, our biology and our habits. Beings on other planets are unlikely to resemble us because all of the above are different. They live in different environments, they have a different genetic structure and they survive through different means.

Functional analysis is a methodology that is used to explain the workings of a complex system. The basic idea is that the system is viewed as computing a function (or, more generally, as solving an information processing problem).
Qualitatively, we are possibly amatures posting quantitative questions about life on other planets. Possibly, we need conform to the needs of an Intelligent modern world by performing an analysis of the qualitites of life on other planets.
In the first stage of Functional Analysis the to-be-explained function is defined.
Stage 1:
To know if aliens exist and if they resemble humans and breathe oxygen we would have to look at the postulated system as computing a function or solving an information processing problem. The workings of a complex system that qualifies aliens that resemble humans and breathe oxygen would require the following processes:
Life: Functions such as metabolism, growth, reproduction, and response to stimuli or adaptation to the environment originating from within the organism.
Oxygen: A nonmetallic element constituting 21 percent of the atmosphere by volume that occurs as a diatomic gas, O2, and in many compounds such as water and iron ore.
Planet: A nonluminous celestial body larger than an asteroid or comet, illuminated by light from a star, such as the sun, around which it revolves.
Humans: Having the form of a human.
End Stage 1.
Functional analysis assumes that such processing can be explained by decomposing the processes identified in the above defination into a set of simpler functions that are computed by an organized system of subprocessors. The hope is that when this type of decomposition is performed, the subfunctions that are defined will be simpler than the original function, and as a result will be easier to explain.
Now, to further our analysis of our complex system, we will have to perform a decomposition of this complex system.
Stage 2:
Decompose Life:
Metabolism: The chemical processes occurring within a living cell or organism that are necessary for the maintenance of life. In metabolism some substances are broken down to yield energy for vital processes while other substances, necessary for life, are synthesized.
Growth: Development from a lower or simpler to a higher or more complex form; evolution.
Reproduction: Something reproduced, especially in the faithfulness of its resemblance to the form and elements of the original
Response to Stimuli: A type of cell or organ that is capable of detecting the presence of a particular stimulus, which in turn, will bring about a response in the organism due to the presence / absence / change in concentration of the stimulus.
Adaptation to the environment: The adjustment of an organism to its environment or the process by which it enhances such fitness.
Decomposition of Oxygen: No Subfunctions
Decomposition of Planet: No Subfunctions
Decomposition of Human:
Evolution: A process of development in which an organ or organism becomes more and more complex by the differentiation of its parts, a continuous and progressive change according to certain laws and by means of resident forces.
End Stage 2.
In the third stage, analysis is stopped by subsuming the bottom level of functions. This means that the operation of each of these functions are explained by appealing to natural laws such as mechanical or biogical principles.
Therefore the next stage would be an explanation of Metabolism, Reproduction, Growth, Response to Stimuli and Adaptation to the Environment as biological principles. Once the biological explanations have been made, the cosmic theory of planet formation and how oxygen is created have to be explained. Finally, A theory of Human evolution has to be presented.
Functional analysis is important to cognitive science because it offers a natural methodology for explaining how information processing is being carried out. Any "black box diagram" offered as a model represents the result of carrying out the analytic stage of functional analysis.
Quite Finished? Not quite. Qualitatively, in the third stage,
analysis is stopped by appealing to natural laws. But however, Due to a quirk in the theory, if the functional analysis is applied to an information processing system, then the analysis is stoped by appealing to the functional architecture for that information processor.
You would have to study the human brain.

it really is one thanks to seem at it yet as well undergo in options that eventually maximum persons might want to be wiped out so contained in the acceptable it would not truly count number. If people are the universes maximum cancers then the universe would end because their is a nil% probability human beings being the in straightforward words existence in a limiteless universe with an over 0% probability of existence taking position. We would appear like we are destroying the earth yet undergo in options that the earth is an somewhat great each and every replacing structure with adaptable habitats. this signifies that some thing will take position, meteor...ice age...nuclear conflict...etc which will reason an excellent wipe and then the earths habitats will evolve and then existence will proceed starting to be. contained in the grand scheme of issues we are neither a virulent disease nor maximum cancers contained in the Universe because we may be able to somewhat make it previous the moon in a genuine looking trend and performance merely about come to the point of nuclear conflict. we are basically specks of airborne dirt and mud which will eventually be washed away no matter if to bypass and be reborn, disappear, or bypass to heaven. a limiteless universe is merely not quite affected through the likes human beings until eventually significant substitute takes position contained in the arrival one hundred years and from the seems of issues that wont take position, and if substitute got here about that would want to reason us to live to inform the tale we'd want to maximum probably develop right into a non violent team that would want to seem to help different planets...If we each and every made it out of this image voltaic equipment. So do not live on such issues as this rather bypass out and **** some chick or dude, inspite of your into and undergo in options that contained in the acceptable we are all gonna die...even the crab human beings, ******* crab human beings

there has to be, in 2002 red rain fell on india, scientists believe that it is a form of life unlike anything found on earth, it multiplies even in extreme temperatures (search red rain india to read article), the fact that life formed on earth means it's possible on another planet, maybe mars was just like earth at one stage, mabye there are planets supporting life thorought the universe, some more intelligent than others wondering the same thing. they could possibly breath oxygen or mabye need less of it to live, mabye none, they could breath gasses that would kill anything on earth. a resembleience to us would not be impossible depending on the planet, we are like this because we evolved to survive, mabye they evolved differently to suit their needs, i reckon we are not that far from discovering something really big if it has'nt been discovered already, most religions would be thrown into serious doubt with the discovery of life on another planet, that could be a reason (and a good one when you think of the hysteria it would cause) to hide it, but then again who knows. I personally believe in life on other planets, but that's just my opinion. and no i don't believe in god

What you meant to say is "intelligent" life, -which some would claim, includes us.
But 99.999% of life to be found, if any would look like a glob or a bacteria or whatever.
For atheists and humanists, - they'd say the "life form" would be totally different.
For Christians, - they'd say the human form is God-ordained, and there might be other worlds with peoples running around on it.

I feel that as large as space is(never ending) it would be somewhat dumb for me to assume that there is no other intelligent life out there somewhere. As far as our planets, I doubt there is currently. I believe in the Bible, but even the Bible doesn't say God Created Earth creatures and no others.

I believe in god but sometimes I wonder if he wasn't just from some other planet and that humans were his little project.
There has to be other life out there somewhere.

If there's life it's so advanced that they just ignore our ignorant race. And IF they did resemble us then they just walk amoung us like everyday people and we dont even know it.
