Merchandising is how to set things in a store for sale. For example walking into a convenience store,(or any store) its not just an accident where things are placed. If you ever noticed you get to the cheaper or most popular things only after you have walked by the more expensive things. Placing displays in high traffic areas, setting how the shelves should look, that's all merchandising.

My husband worked for Corporate Gap (which could include just answering phone calls) and he got discounts at Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic-a girl's dream! For him, he got a certain amount of 50% off items every month and for everything else it was 30% at Gap and Banana and 20% at Old Navy. It was pretty good but I'm probably saving alot of money now that he isn't there anymore :)

its certainly not tesco, after a year of working there you get a 10% discount apparantly. saying that, the security there is rubbish - I have frequently received a 100% discount and I dont even work there.
