Have you noticed that the teams lease likely to win the World Series are winning the world series? Think about it: The D'backs, Angels, Marlins, the Red Sox and last year the White Sox. You don't suppose that the commissioner in the sky is saying, HEY, IT'S THE LITTLE GUY'S TURN NOW. What's your point of view?

If the Tigers win it this year I'll have to agree, it's definitely due to the intervention of, as you said, the commissioner in the sky. Keep in mind though, the Red Sox and White Sox are not exactly 'little guys'. The're huge market teams.
Although if the Cubs win it, it would be a miracle for the ages!

well my red sox... i waited 34 years for the day they won the world series. The whole team hadn't won a world series since 1918. That's 86 years of misery and grief. And its time we stop letting those f***ing Yankees win #27. They play with the check not with the heart and their fans only like em because of their 26 world series titles. So when the White Sox won they deserved it too because they waited a long *** time also. So yes let teh teams who haven't won the world series or havent won one in a long time get to enjoy the joy of being the best in baseball. Because the Yankees buy their way through baseball, and thats why they deserve their hatred. I hate that team. I hate their fans. I hate everything about the yankees. because they know nothing about suffering. So you are right that commissioner in the sky answered my prayers... *-*

Yeah, you're right.
The Royals will play the Pirates in the World Series. Well, not the baseball world series, but they'll hold a best of 7 exhibition world series to see who the worst team is.

I can kind of believe this statement. If you look at it from this point of view, if Detroit stays consistent they too can be considered contenders. And I am calling it now, the wild card will be decided in the AL central which means it's going to be interesting which team Wins the AL east

Of course I am hoping the Red Sox win. However, if they don't I am hoping the Tigers will.

I agree with you, but the Red-Sox could have won anytime over those 86 years, but they just decided to suck. Go Yankees!!!

If you are talking about The Baseball Gods---then yes they are smiling on The Tigers.
And frowning on the yankees.

If that were true, the Cubs wouldn't have as bad of a record as they do.
