most people become poor because they don't know how to manage their money

It's not as easy as you make it sound. You obviously must have gotten rich easily or inherited it. The cost of living and the wages paid are usually pretty close to eachother for most people except executives or people with special skills, or higher education that many cannot afford to begin with. Where do you live, in a place that money falls from the sky, or people hand it to you on the street? You will find not many people will share your point of view inside your guilded reality.

Some people are poor because they don't have the skills, abilities, or education to obtain a job that pays a living wage. Some are poor because they don't have the courage to try to better themselves (change is scary). Some are poor because we live in an "instant gratification society", where the mindset is "I must have it, and I must have it now!" .

Dunno, but it's a fact that the most intelligent people aren't necessarily the richest. It must be something else than pure brain power.
