The early death of Ken Lay is very likely the result of all the stress associated with a large business failure and all the after market activity in the legal sphere. However, it might be instructive to know what the death rate is for ALL former Enron employees. Most of them not only lost their jobs but thier pensions and life savings. Is there any study of this group that might shed light on the health and early death rate of former Enron employees compred to the general population.

Some people are thinking this is about the executive level of Enron. It is not. There were many solid energy companies bought up by Enron in its rush to oblivion. The tens of thousands of people who were employees - working people - had retirement plans and stock values (for their retirement) that went with the purchase. These people lost it all and they did not have "fortunes" like the "executive" class. This is the group to which the question is suggesting research. I know of some people in their 50's who lost all - including homes (not mansions) that had to start all over again. Depression was rampant.

Oh, come on guys, Ken Lay isn't dead! I heard he's hanging out on Kickback Mountain, waiting for bed partners like Tom DeLay and Jack Abrahamoff? and before you know it, there'll be a whole colony of them hiding out there doing their thing.

I saw Ken Lay at the 7-11 drinking a banana slurpee with Elvis.

Sorry to disappoint you Me3, but Kenny Boy's very likely alive and well. This one's just too convenient to be a random event.

And in all fairness to the situation, multiple times more people made multiple times more profits, than those who lost money. There are more millionaires right now off of Enron deals and stock, than there are paupers from it's collapse.

Enron become able to make money off of cap and commerce. when you're lower than the carbon allowance, you could promote it to make money. Enron is gone now although. the object is going on to assert maximum potential agencies isn't lower than the carbon allowance threshold. a lot for most money being made...

I suppose that if any of the former Enron employee's that got screwed, ever see them in the street late at night, their death rate would probably improve dramatically!!

Who says Ken Lay is dead?
They did not show the body (said he was cremated).
And he was still worth billions.
He may be living on a island somewhere laughing at us.

We here at Americans for Equal Justice feel strongly that the possibility exists that Mr. Lay, like Hitler, Elvis, and Tupac before him, has faked his own death in order to avoid any more unwanted public scrutiny. If this is true, then it is our responsibility as good Americans to bring this criminal to justice by reporting his whereabouts to the proper authorities.

Thank you for your support,

Americans for Equal Justice
