Who pays for judgements on TV??

Do you ever watch Judge Judy - or any other show - who pays for this??? At the bottom of Judge Judy at the end - it makes me think the show pays for it. If so, why doesn't everyone file there????

They get paid for being on the show. The amount may or may not cover the judement, depending on the amount.

that's why they have commercials. that's what pays the people on the show
