There are only two breeds of hamsters that I know of and they are pretty different in appearance and needs. I highly doubt they would be able to breed successfully, and even if they could(unlikely), the babies might be pretty messed up. Syrian hamsters are loners who will most certainly fight if kept with others, siberian dwarfs are very social and need company. It would be difficult to determine what the needs of the offspring would be.

i'm stunned that as someone who claims to be all knowledgable and experienced with hamsters and breeding that this isn't blindingly obvious! you're literally not conversing about crossing BREEDS, you're conversing about crossing SPECIES! Breeds are animals of a similar species bred to exhibit particular features. as an get mutually, golden hamsters, teddies etc are all a similar species - Syrian hamsters. bypass-breeding diverse breeds is nice. Crossing a chinese with a Robo, or a Campbells with a robo, or a syrian with a chinese etc.... is making an attempt to mate 2 animals that are diverse SPECIES! Breeding 2 diverse species is under no circumstances helpful. it really is continually prevented in a one among various techniques: a million) both species would merely not breed as they don't understand eachother as a similar species and hence ability associates. 2) they'd attempt to mate, yet will locate it bodily not achieveable. 3) in the experience that they manage to mate they are going to regularly not conceive. 4) in the experience that they conceive, maximum hybrids are literally not carried to finish time period (they could't live to inform the tale and are miscarried) 5) in the experience that they attain finished time period many die presently after delivery. 6) In very few species hybrids live to inform the tale, yet are infertile (like mules - you could bypass a horse with a donkey and get a mule, yet you could not breed from a mule). Breeding your Campbells (Phodopus campbelli) with a robrovski (Phodopus roborovskii) is crossing 2 diverse species. this isn't stated!

one of the most common hamster is the Syrian hamster. It comes in differant lengths of hair, and differant colors. Sometimes you will see them being sold under differant names like Black bear Hamster, or Panda hamster, or dalmation hamster. They are all the same species. A actually differant species would be a dwarf hamster like a chinese dwarf hamster or a cambells dwarf aka russian dwarf. These are differant and can not breed with the syrian types.
