You've actually neither the time nor space to provide all the information needed to answer the question with any accuracy.
We badly need truthful history documented and placed into our textbooks. Are you up to the task of some investigative journalism? The brain-beating task of getting published? Being a rebel and taking on the establishment?
For some personalities such a "go it your own" career path would be nirvana - - for you...???

After a few years in the real world it doesn`t make any difference what you studied as an undergraduate. If you enjoy history, study it. Just check the directories of office buildings to see how many historians are working as historians there.
There's always teaching (most places you'd need a graduate degree or two), museums, law, journalism (I'd recommend a double major in Communications),
and there is always going into business with your dad,

Not a whole heck of a lot. Don't switch if you're into something more marketable! Make it your minor or double major. Otherwise you're going to be stuck in a dead end job like me! The only difference is I was an English major!

It seems to be only one logical short term answer become a history teacher at any level and then get your advanced degrees in the specialized areas you want to focus on. Whether it be ore teaching working for the media as an expert or govt. work.
