Just sit with her and explain in a nice quite voice that you think her cooking is complete crap and that you havent got time to be sitting there eating it, ask her for money to buy a burger!
She will understand and give you a big hug and money for a burger, thats what moms are for!
At least try it and let us know how you got on.
