I had to miss the game yesterday - just been watching a repeat here in China and was interested to see that incident as Scolari made such a big deal of it - sods law the friggin' phone rang and I missed it. That penalty for France was a bit soft - should not have been given in my book - Henry fell way after there was any contact and only after he realised the ball had gone and he was off balance - used to seeing him do that in the Premiership so no surprise really. Any comments on that either? And be honest!

Yeah, he pushed him down. That's "obstruction" or something like that.
There's another one, when a french stops the ball with his arm in the goalie area. The ref ignored it, of course.
I'm glad you think like me - the ball was 3 yards away when Henry fell.
Honey, believe me - the underdogs such as Portugal, Australia, etc never make it. There's too much at stake h€r€ - soccer being the least important.

The foul on Henry was called right because when the contact was made it slowed him down making it harder to get to the ball and get a good shot off so him falling was just showing the ref that is happened. C. Ronaldo dives all the time so the ref was right not to call that foul. If Ronaldo ever decided to stay on his feet then he would start getting calls like that.

Sagnol did not foul on C.Ronaldo because C.Ronaldo did not jump and he just falled down to earn penalty.

"We were all disappointed. Every time the Portuguese came into the box, basically the slightest touch, even feeling an arm on their back, they would throw themselves down and I'm surprised the referee didn't make a couple of bookings for feigning fouls."by Le Saux, former most expensive defender in English Football

Carvaldo admited he is the one to blame for penalty given to France. kindly look in the source below.

i admited portugal is playing well in second half; however, they did not converted it to goal and win the match. France win with fair and square.

i dont think it was a foul.just a small push but if henry was awarded 1for a slight contact like that[the portugese defender was trying tokick the ball away and henry tripped over his other foot when he wasonthe ground}as a neautral i wouldnt have complained if ron. wasawarded the penalty though it would have angered the anti-ronaldo fans in this web even more.[by the way why do these people hate him so much he' a great upcoming plyer

He DID trip, but he EXAGGERATED it...What's worse was that the referee was being a prick, and decided that was a penalty for unknown reasons, because there were other instances such as the one u mentioned about C. Ronaldo, were a penallty could have been given...
