I used to watch that show all the time. Loved the guy. Then he started to get on my nerves and annoy me. There was one episode where he was in the USA hunting rattle snakes. And he sat his rump on a rock and right between his legs was a diamond back rattler.
I found myself rooting for the snake and knew it was time to turn off Steve for good.

He and his wife have admitted that she helps him. He is a victim of ADHD. Its an adult hyperactivity disorder. Slowing Steve down is pretty much only done with medication. I do believe he takes some. Plus there is another factor. The man truly loves what he does. Thats enough to pump up anyone. Stew

An Australian began working at my job and she was actually ashamed that he was Australian. I think that he's probably a nice guy that is hyper because he's trying to make an exciting show.

i imagine he only acts like that on camera... well, he doesn't act like that in normal everday life nearly as much as he does on camera... probably. and I would hope he is fast and stays fast... the second he gets slow he's going to get bitten or gobbled up all together by one of his snakes or crocs...
