I always have problems putting eyeliner on my lower lid because I can never get it close enough to my eye. Is there a trick to putting eyeliner on the lower lid? Are you supposed to put it on the actual cut of the eye or just under your lower eyelashes? Please help!

There are a few ways to do it. You can line the wet inner rim of your eye, but if you do this, be careful, use a dry pencil, and sharpen it before each use to kill bacteria. If doing this, pull the lower lid away from the eyeball.

If you want to get a thin, precise line at the base of your lower lashes, I'll give you a trick I discovered by accident...it's weird but I swear it works.

Put a good, thick line at the base of your lashes, and I do mean thick, nothing you'd wear in public, BEFORE washing your face. When you wash your face, do gently wash your eyes using a finger to skim back and forth across the lashes, like you're trying to wash it off. When you're done, you'll be left with a perfect, thin line at the base of your lashes.

I have heard that putting makeup really close to the eye (like between the lashes and the eyeball) can give you infections.

Put it just under the lower eyelashes is what I would do. You can use a Q tip to smudge it so there is not a space between the line you've made and your lashes. Also, soften up the pencil a little by rubbing it on the back of your hand, it'll help thicken the line some.

get some (solid!) matte black eyeshadow (i take advantage of loreal black prosperous eyeshadow) and run a line of the shadow over your eyeliner to set it in position. it would help it end smudging. also, attempt to detect a extra acceptable computerized eyeliner it truly is lengthy placed on or smudge evidence. those have a tendency now to not smudge as a lot as a pencil or an ordinary computerized eyeliner. nonetheless run the black eyeliner over the hot liner although, which will surely help. Liquid liner is likewise an selection. It takes some tries even if it truly works nicely. solid success.

Well some girls put it on the actual cut of their eye but I find that when you do, it smears throughout the day. I like to apply it under the lashes but not too defined so it doesn't look like just a line, but more smokey. If that makes any sense.

Good luck :)

I apply my eyeliner to the inside of my eye, top and bottom. Make sure you are using a soft pencil, not liquid and apply from the outer edge to the inner edge, only doing the outer half of the upper part.

stretch your eye out and try and put it directly on the eyelashes line, or get a liquid eyeliner that helps too....

I always wonder the same thing. I put it on both. I just kinda pull down on the skin just below my eye. Just be careful not to poke your eye!

it depends on how you like it! make sure your liner is sharp, (if not liquid) and not dull! putting it under your lash is how i wear mine, but sometimes i wear it above my lash, it just depends on my mood, my outfit.......my hair.......switch it up every now and then......after you get the hang of it....it wont be sucha big deal anymore! if you're using a pencil, make sure you have a good sharpener......a good sharpener makes your liner! : ) have fun! smile!!!!!!!!!! : )
