I think the major cause of homelessness is the inability to communicate clearly and correctly.

I think that sometimes it is a change that put that person into the homeless situation. There are many things beyond our control that effect the way we live. The important change needs to happen when you become homeless. If we take the situation one step further, it is like saying that we can escape middle class by changing our life to become a multi-millionaire. Some things are beyond the immediate control to change by a person. There are many factors involved in each individual story and life of everyone on Earth. If you and I had the same diet, climate, lifestyle, skills, and personality, one of us could outperform the other by way of opportunity, sickness, or just plain luck!
All in all, I don't think that every homeless person is at fault for their own homelessness.

I think it is wrong to judge those who are homeless because you have to understand why.
When i was 18 i became homeless through family problems. I was lucky enough to get into a hostel but the two years i lived there i met all sorts of people and i learned many things from these people.
Those who become homeless are so for many reasons- money, personal problems, personal loss, unemployemant, abuse the list is endless but once you are homeless its very hard to get out of the viscious circle you get trapped in.
Like i say i was lucky to get into a hostel but it was still hard it took me 2 years to get out because there is not much help for those who are homeless.
Firstly did you know that when you are homeless you cant get a job then you cant have a bank account and to get a bank account you need an adress so thats your first problem.
Secondly when you live in a hostel you are still classed as homeless by the goverment.
Thirdly hostels still cost money.
Most people find it hard to find work but when an employer knows you live in a hostel most have a picture of you in there head as a bad person.
Those who you see on the streets who drink out of the paper brown bags were not always like that, most had jobs families a life, but sometimes things happen to change your life.
The most nicest person i met lived on the streets his name was david. He had a wife 2 children a job and everything was great untill his wife and children died in a car accident, he told me after that he felt like he had lost everything, he stopped going to work then was unemployed, he lost his house and then found himself sitting one night in a shop entrance, he has been there for 15 years and he does drink. People look at him like dirt some shout abuse some say he should get a job and stop living off the goverment but he says he chooses to stay where he is because he has no reason to fight for anything because what meant the world to him was gone.
I visited him every weekend and at christmas he died from the cancer i was told by another friend of his that in his pocket was enough money to pay for him to be burried by his family and i was also given a letter.
The words he wrote will always stay with me. He said i was an angel who came from heaven, i may have only gave him food but to him it was gold, my smile gave him warmth and my love gave him hope because i saw him without judging.
Do not judge those you dont know because you dont know who will judge you.

People are not always born into the best of circumstances. If we all started on a level playing field you could make the assumption that it is a persons fault that they are homeless. It is not that cut and dried. Some have been blessed and throw it all away with bad choices they make in their lives. Others are not as fortunate, and need the help of those who have been blessed with much.

not entirely. sure, you can change ur life, but only to a certain extent. there's no way you can change the cost of livign of a place, can you? imagine sloggin ur whole life to earn about $10 a day, but the cost of food, lodging (rent, water, electricity bills) etc comes up to $100 a day?? can you make it? no.
i support those who work, liek those poor folks tryign to sell tissues or toys on teh street, but not those who drink beer, put a can on the floor and lie there in drunken stupor.

I think that any one of us could lose our jobs, or our kids may get sick and keep us from work, or we may get sick and not work.
If you were my secretery, and i was to see the way you spell, you may lose your job. would you lose your home with no income?
it is not a good thing to place judgment on people, it will put you in a similar situation. ask an old wise person about it, I am sure they could help you to understand.

Fully agree that it is their fault. There are many resources out there that some people just have to much pride to go and ask for this kind of help.

Its mixed. Some people bring it on themselves, but others had things happen that they could not control.
