Both are missunderstood loveable animals.Mice are tiny and rats are small.Both loved to be stroked.Both love people.Both curious about new things.Both caring. Both build up relationship with people.Both smart.Both get really fat & lazy.All mice and rat lovers please stand up(^^)!!!!Tell about your pets.i have a dog too but i love mice more.

I just bought an adorable pair of rats yesterday, they're so curious and already come to my hand when I put it in the tank! They really seem to enjoy being petted and make me laugh at how cheeky and inquisitive they are. I was looking for weeks for these rats because local pet shops don't sell them, but in my mind they are vastly superior pets to hamsters, gerbils, degus etc, they suffer from a bad reputation and an awful lot of hysteria. Rats make the best small mammalian pet, FACT.

I have had both and it is definately rats. miceare great, but are very small and not as sociable as rats. They may look similar, but are very different in personality. They are also a very good size. Rats love your attention and love, and would rat be with you than anything else, and, therefore, are a better interactive pet for every age than mice. I have had eight rats and twelve mice, and rats have just proven to be better animals as pets as far as interaction.

I like rats more for their size. Handling mice always makes me nervous. Both make great pets though.

I personally like rats best. They are smarter and easier to handle, I love meeces too though.

I personally love rats. They are easy to handle, they don't have that "mousy" smell to them. They are fun, and have more personality.

a mousetrap would be my pet if i was near you. I prefer cats n dogs to rodents i try to keep off my property.
