Im going to a wedding saturday and i've been asked to babysit during the wedding, even if I wasn't babysitting, I would still go to the wedding. So im confused, do I still have to dress up as if I was going to a wedding or can I drees a little more casual but not completely casual?

Dress as if you were a guest but you will probably want to make sure you are wearing something you can move in well and very comfortable shoes (especially if small children are involved). What ever the formality of the wedding is would dictate what you would wear to the wedding. Have fun!!!

Depending on the age of the kids. I wouldn't wear a dress or skirt because you will be watching kids, and it's too hard when you wear a dress or skirt. Where some nice slacks or pants, and a nice shirt that you wouldn't mind getting dirty if that should happen (same for pants).
I wouldn't wear jeans or a t-shirt unless they are having a very casual wedding in that case I'd wear jeans, but jeans are usually a no no unless like I said that bride wants that!

Dress Pants and a shirt, you can move around in them easily to chase kids but still look formal enough for the wedding. Make sure you bring something else though, then you'll have another thing to change into in case the kids get you dirty. For shoes, wear flats that won't give you a blister, and bring sneakers just in case. A sun-dress would be okay, as long as you can move easily in it. Don't wear a long skirt, they're hard to walk in, but don't wear a mini-skirt either, if you wear a skirt, make sure it ends just a little above your knees.

Wait. talk to the people who asked you to baby sit. Sometimes they have you in a room that is away from the wedding and reception and you ar enot part of the wedding at all. I hope you are getting paid for this as well. If you are watching the children in the reception room, then everyone needs to dress as if they were going to the reception, inlcuding the children. If they have you in another room separate from everything then go casual!

You must dress according to the wedding. Where a nice dress but not fancy. Something like a day dress or check with the bride and groom.

do you know the age ranges you will be babysitting? i would do a lil less dressy but like you said not completley casual. you dont want to end up with baby puke on a nice dress. or you could always ask the bride and groom to be what they would prefer.

I wont ware something extremely causal for example shorts, T-shirts or jeans.
I would wear something more than causal but something that will be easy to take care of the children that your are responsible for and that can you don't care if it gets dirty.
For example a pair of nice black pants, nice top and comfortable shoes.

i would wear a nice skirt and top and flats. its easier to go run after the kids or bend down and play with them. a dress would be hard to move in and you kind of have to dress up alittle, but be comfortable too

Nice pant suit would be ok, you would look good for the ceremony and still be able to get down with the kids when you need to
