What you experienced is one of the few things that almost every religion has in common. Depending on your religion, it will be known as different things. Many people who feel it once seek for ways to feel it all the time. Christians tend to seek it through prayer, song, or worship services. Others seek it through meditation, nature worship, or personal self-sacrifice. Your religious beliefs will dictate what this experience actually means (communion with God, oneness with nature, identity with the universal soul, etc).
Regardless of your religion, this is a special experience. It is the one "proof" of the existence of a supreme or "supernatural" existence which cannot be legitimately dismissed by science. Many people try to prove the existence of God by using the Bible (which is circular reasoning), or by referring to things that science has other proven reasons for. What believers don't realize is that these personal experiences are the true reason that people believe. Perhaps there wouldn't be such a perceived conflict between science and religion if more people recognized this.

It's a revalation of sorts...You looked around you and couldn't deny the existence of God. The world is too much of a complex place to have just "happend"...it's a good feeling when you appriciate all of God's gifts, even the ones we see everyday and don't think about (trees, grass, etc)

Pure joy and enlightenment. Yesterday was just that kind of day! Keep acknowledging God and He will prosper you and He will continue to direct your paths. You are a spiritual being away from your heavenly home, a stranger in this weird, cruel world. When we connect to creation, we feel a sense of paradise. Go with it! And ignore your sure to come stupid answers, sis. I understand EXACTLY what you felt. Just continue to seek it and bless the LORD when you find it. Peace.

Yes, I feel that way when communeing with nature too. It also makes me feel powerful in a way that I can stop and enjoy what most people rush past and don't even notice, like I have a sharper awareness of the world around me and appreciate it a little more than the avaerage bear. ;)
